Tarot spread · 3 cards
Three cards
Three views of one story: what shaped it, what matters now, and what is still taking shape.
By Tarot tradition: a mirror, not a verdict
PastWhat has already shaped the picture?
PresentWhat is worth noticing right now?
PotentialWhat is taking shape, and what could you support?
The cards open right on your device. The spread is shared by everyone for the day.
When it fits
When you want to see a situation as a whole: what led to it, what matters in it now and where it could develop.
It suits a calm conversation with yourself about something that has been dragging on: work, a relationship, a habit or a decision.
Positions of the spread
Past
What has already shaped the picture?
Here the card shows what has already taken shape: experience, habits, earlier choices. It is not read as a verdict on the past, but as what you carry with you and can look at with care.
Present
What is worth noticing right now?
Here the card highlights a feeling, a need or a tension asking for attention now. It is the centre of the spread: the question to stay with comes from it.
Potential
What is taking shape, and what could you support?
Potential, not the future: what is only taking shape and what your own steps could support. In this position the card says nothing about events or dates.
How the spread goes
- Think of the situation you want to look at, or simply open the cards.
- Read the cards in order: past, present, potential.
- At the end, look at the summary: it holds a question to stay with and a practice, if you would like some support.
What this spread does not do
- It names no events or dates: the third position is about what you could support, not about what is coming.
- It does not judge the past: there are no mistakes in the first position, only experience.
In the tarot tradition, for reflection. The card does not know the future and is no substitute for professional advice.
Other spreads
The cards are a prompt to pause and listen to yourself. In the tarot tradition, for reflection: the cards do not know the future and decide nothing for you. The texts are for reflection and entertainment and are no substitute for advice from a doctor, psychologist, lawyer or financial professional.
