Major Arcana · II
High Priestess
A still figure between a dark pillar and a light one: knowing that keeps quiet and is in no hurry.
By Tarot tradition: a mirror, not a verdict

Image and meaning
She sits with a crescent moon at her feet and a scroll in her lap, half hidden under a fold of her mantle. Some things are ready to be said; others can wait. This is about listening inward before acting, and about letting yourself not know yet. Quiet knowing differs from an anxious hunch: it is calm and does not push. When the two are hard to tell apart, a pause tends to help more than a quick answer.

Light and shadow
Support. Room to pause, and to leave a question open for a while.
Worth noticing. Whether what feels like intuition is calm knowing or worry speaking in a confident voice.
A gentle step
Sit quietly for two minutes, then name what you feel as clearly as you can, in one or two words.
Gently. A strong hunch is worth a second look on a calmer day before you act on it.
