Minor Arcana · Pentacles
Knight of Pentacles
A knight sits on a heavy black horse that stands still, pentacle in hand: steady effort at a pace that lasts.
By Tarot tradition: a mirror, not a verdict

Court card
It can be read as a role or a side of you. The Knight is movement toward a goal and the choice of how to get there.
Image and meaning
Of the four Knights, only this one sits on a horse that is not moving: all four hooves on the ground, a plowed field behind. He holds the disc up in a red-gloved hand, his gaze going past it. As part of you, he is the steady side that shows up and does the useful thing again tomorrow; he can also be a part you play for others. A routine you can trust is its own kind of calm.

The suit of Pentacles: body, work and resources.
Light and shadow
Support. Reliability: doing what you said you would, without rushing.
Worth noticing. Mistaking a slow pace for failure, and pushing harder than the work requires.
A gentle step
Attach one small useful task to something you already do daily, like brushing your teeth, and keep it up for a week.
Gently. Steadiness and never resting are two different things; a dependable pace includes pauses.
