Minor Arcana · Swords
Eight of Swords
A blindfolded figure stands among eight swords while the ground ahead lies open: hemmed in, with more room than there seems to be.
By Tarot tradition: a mirror, not a verdict

Image and meaning
Cloth over the eyes and around the arms makes the space feel closed, yet the swords do not form a ring, and nothing ties the feet. This is how life can feel when every option looks blocked and a critical inner voice keeps adding to the list. Some limits are real and deserve respect; others are drawn by fear. The first step is telling the two apart, without blaming yourself for either.
Keywords

The suit of Swords: thoughts and words.
Light and shadow
Support. The feet are free: there may be more room to move than first appears.
Worth noticing. Blame turned inward, shrinking the space until every choice looks like the wrong one.
A gentle step
Pick one fear that keeps you in place and write three outcomes beside it: the worst, the best, and the most likely.
Gently. If the limits come from someone else's control or from real danger, that is not your doing; your safety and support come first.
