Minor Arcana · Pentacles
King of Pentacles
Robed in grapevines, the King rests one hand on a pentacle and holds a scepter in the other: competence that makes ideas real.
By Tarot tradition: a mirror, not a verdict

Court card
It can be read as a role or a side of you. The King is steadiness and responsibility that can be carried calmly.
Image and meaning
The King sits at ease on a dark throne carved with bulls' heads, his robe covered in vines and grapes. One hand rests lightly on the disc on his knee; his eyes are lowered and calm. He can mirror your own capacity to turn plans into something that lasts and to look after it well, or a role you hold as the steward of something others depend on. Security held without fear is the heart of it.
