You're not alone

Choose whatever helps right now.

If a life is in danger

Call the local emergency number, or ask someone nearby to call. If you have already hurt yourself or taken something dangerous, call now, even if you feel all right.

Where are you right now?

Help numbers depend on the country you're in, not on the site's language. We never ask for access to your location.

What you can do right now

  • If anything nearby could be used to hurt yourself, put it out of reach or ask someone to stay with you.
  • Message someone you trust: “I’m having a hard time. Can you be with me?”
  • You don't have to solve everything now. Getting through the next few minutes is enough.

Talk to a person

If you're having thoughts of hurting yourself or of not wanting to live, call a support line. They will listen without judgment. You can also call when things simply feel too heavy.

Choose your country above to see its support lines. Lines in many countries are also listed in the Find A Helpline directory.

Major Arcana · XX

Judgement

A long trumpet note from the clouds, arms opening toward it: a call that something in you recognizes.

By Tarot tradition: a mirror, not a verdict

The card Judgement, arcanum XX: a drawing from the 1909 deck in a velvet frame
The 1909 deck after drawings by Pamela Colman Smith (public domain).

Image and meaning

A great angel leans out of the clouds and sounds a long note, and the figures below lift their arms toward it. Their faces are full of wonder. This card is less about being judged than about hearing something that matters and recognizing it as your own: a value, a forgotten wish, an honest view of the road so far. Answering rarely calls for a leap. Often it begins with a plain admission: this matters to me.

Light and shadow

Support. A clear sense of what is important to you, and the strength that comes with it.

Worth noticing. Which old wish or value keeps calling, however quietly, and what it is asking of you now.

A gentle step

Put one thing you care about now into a few plain words, without explaining or defending it.

Gently. An inner call does not need answering all at once; one step in its direction is a real answer.

Across areas of life

Relationships
A clearer sense of what you need in closeness, and the courage to put it into words.
Work
A long-held interest asking for room, and an honest look at the path that led you here.
Resources
Strength that comes back once something feels worth your effort again.
About you
Looking at an earlier version of yourself with understanding, and with some tenderness.

Questions for yourself

What have you wanted for a long time without saying it out loud?

Looking back honestly, what would you keep from the road so far, and what would you set down?
